Attention! New competitor for anshin contract!

Phoebe blinked over the terse warning. Gut it! Nobody responsible could generate a responsible proposal with just two days' notice. Regardless, fear flooded her rib cage with pressure. Stuff it! I can't do anything more. I made my last bid yesterday for Ganj Dareh's approval — and my own peace of mind. The tension softened, but didn't vanish. So mount it on the wall and forget about it! And she moved on through the daily will-hear report, hoping to see her own name appear.

.full-video/visual interpretation=off: I stand here before all of you today with Pla Cliff Derkinit, Director of the Rendezvous of Futures, and Pfic Ira Hayes, Moderator of the Forum for Ganj-Dareh Collective.
Together, we announce major new programs to challenge the recent disruption of our communities. The three of us, along with thousands of zhee-tely, residents of Ganj Dareh as well as our guests, have worked long seconds over the past four days to visualize and develop these programs. All of us feel positive that we can take steps to ease the stress on everybody caused by the Rendezvous, to illuminate the fears that we all have experienced and disperse them with the light of reason and individual experience, and to restore peace to the paths of Ganj Dareh.
We dedicate these programs to our friends and family who have died on our paths in recent days. May their unexpected deaths serve as warnings about our failures as individuals and as a society. Please support these programs so that they did not die in vain.
First, we announce the virtual integration of the Rendezvous with all gong-she and all community realty-management functions. This new coöperative will coordinate housing, shi-tang, and other life-support functions for the sixty-five thousand Gastarbeiter who share our direvnya and for the sixty-six thousand einheimischer Arbeiter who provide local potential economic energy. Since the gong-she combine was already in default on its contract, this new coöperative will assume all of its authority and responsibility with no loss of jobs.
Second, we announce the formation of an Advisory Council to the Rendezvous of Futures, moderated by Pfic Ira. This council consists of two-hundred thirty-seven resident strategists, tacticians, engineers, and administrators who meet publicly (cue/Em-Deh: §¶) to advise Pla Cliff, your anshin, and other combines about better performing our jobs of supporting and assimilating the Rendezvous in Ganj Dareh. So far, everyone on the Council has been very impressed with the Rendezvous' accomplishments and looks forward to refining its programs and activities with the thought of settling the various issues that have led to violence on our paths.
Third, we announce two major construction projects. Using fallow land offered by the Ganj-Dareh Collective, the Rendezvous Coöperative and the Advisory Council authorize the construction of an official zhuhndí campus for the Rendezvous, buildings to house classes, laboratories, and prototype development. They also authorize the construction of a mega-gong-she to house over half of the participants in the Rendezvous. Again, the combine for this area has fallen delinquent during these rough days. Therefore, their construction jobs across Ganj Dareh will be subsumed into these projects.
Starting immediately, all one-hundred thirty-one thousand members of the Rendezvous Coöperative will focus on three activities:
     * development of the campus, including survey of the site, on-site selection of architectural patterns, and actual construction of the campus in accordance with those patterns
     * development of the mega-gong-she, with the same activities
     * relocation of everyone involved; we feel that isolation has been responsible for much of the xenophobia that lies behind the violence we have all experienced and abhorred, and we are taking dramatic steps to eliminate that isolation and give everyone involved — not just Gast- und einheimischer Arbeiter sharing in the Coöperative, but also every zhee-tel in Ganj Dareh — the chance to personally experience the excitement of meeting, of working with, of living with strangers.
Which brings me to my final announcement:
Fourth, we announce a program that will convert all potential residences into gong-she. We all have rooms-to-rent — after all, our Pattern Language requires them — whether it be rooms in our homes or cottages in our backyards or specific apartments in house-hills or house-rows. That excess capacity will provide us with two things: additional gong-she and mixing of guests and hosts in our direvnya. We are going to make the solution to this crisis a very personal one.
Speaking for the thousands of people who believe in these new programs, I thank you for listening. I also pray that you work as hard as they have to bring a new era of peace — and prosperity — all dedicated to our recent dead — to our direvnya.
