| For
me, science fiction started with Verne and the Nautilus during
elementary school.
A small-town library brought me into the modern era with a large
shelf of juveniles, including Heinlein, who led me to the good stuff.
The early ‘70s saw a flurry of success, but to support my family, I
took a job writing about computers and let my fiction languish.
After 15 years working at Digital Equipment Corporation, I caught
a tsunami of downsizing that left me standing on the shore of a new
life.
With the support and financial wizardry of my wife Jeanne, I
tackled fiction again.
